Chapter #153 of the American Payroll Association has been created in the Upstate of South Carolina.  The chapter will serve the areas of Greenville, Spartanburg, and Anderson as well as the other surrounding counties and cities.

    The seminar has been approved for 6.0 RCHs and is limited to the first 60 registrations  .
     
        

    The chapter got its start when a small group of payroll professionals decided it was time to provide continuing education and networking opportunities for payroll and human resource professionals in the area.
    In the future the group hopes to offer study groups for those who would like to sit for the CPP and FPC exams as well as get involved in the community.

      Payroll Analyst

      ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES/CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES
      Payroll Processing – process weekly, biweekly and semimonthly payroll cycles for hourly
      employees in a multi-state environment using ADP EV5.
      Responsible for preparing, processing, and reconciling various complex payroll transactions,
      including pre-payroll processing preparation and post-payroll processing adjustments and
      corrections; Audit electronic timesheets to ensure accuracy and completion; Process all wage
      garnishments, including communicating with the employee, setting up the garnishments in ADP
      Enterprise and ensuring the proper execution of all garnishments; Process all payroll change
      requests including direct deposit, tax withholdings, 401k contributions.
      QUALIFICATIONS
      Minimum 5 years payroll experience.
      Required to obtain the American Payroll Association Certification within one year of hire at either
      the Fundamentals of Payroll Certification FPC or the Certified Payroll Professional CPP.
      High School Degree required; BA/BS or Associates Degree preferred; Training in payroll
      processing and automated payroll systems preferred
      Payroll Software Experience required: ADP EV5 or WFN
      Time and Attendance Software Experience preferred: Kronos or ADP eTime

              Payroll Tax Notice Resolution Specialist
              Position Summary:
      This full time position is responsible for Notice Resolution as it relates to Local, State and Federal Tax Authorities.
      Research of tax issues by coordinating with internal staff, clients and agencies to find a quick and accurate
      resolve.                      
                         
      Key job duties included:
      Investigate, determine the status and resolve payroll tax related notices.
      Perform tax filing research as needed.
      Track and maintain accurate tracking of issues.
      Provide weekly updates to Director of Tax.
      Contact clients and/or agencies as needed.
      Assist in Quarterly and Annual tax filings

      Skills:
      The Payroll Tax Notice Resolution Specialist will possess a strong desire to provide excellent service and the
      ability to following up will come naturally. The candidate will be motivated by doing it right the first time, solving
      problems, be detail-oriented and effective at helping others. Must be able to function in a team environment, and
      be PC literate and must possess or develop:
      o Analytical knowledge
      o Tax and/or Payroll experience (required)
      o Intermediate Excel experience
      o Evolution experience (preferred but not required)
      o ANTS (Agency Notice Tracking System) experience (preferred but not required)
      o Professional etiquette
      o Excellent Organization skill set
      o Excellent Communication skills

    Job Description: Responsible for timely and accurate multi-state payroll processing for 1,500+ employees while following company policy and procedures along with federal and state regulations.    Hands On position.  Processing and reporting; Management and supervision; Payroll taxes and Regulatory Compliance; Policy and Procedures.

    Job Description: Perform centralized payment processing duties (check payments, ACH and wire functions), maintain and assist with verify incoming and outgoing funds of te company and be the main contact between branches and banks.
