Dear Upstate SC APA Members,
I would like to thank the association for allowing me to serve as President for a 2nd term. This organization has meant so much to me over the past 9 years. This past year has been challenging in many ways and I feel as though The Upstate Chapter of the APA has continued to provide the resources to assist many to grow professionally and personally. Those of you who have been members for a while know this to be true, and those who are new to the chapter will soon find out. I’m proud to be a part of a chapter that has always been focused on helping its members grow and be relevant in their careers. Even though we are all from different industries, we have a common goal; that is to see each other succeed.
As I continue in this new role, I welcome the other members of our team for the 2021-2022 term:
· OPEN, President Elect
· Teresa Contois, Secretary
· Denis Salopek, Treasurer
· Marc Dominick, Membership Chair
· Jill Wyatt, Education Chair
Our team, along with the help of our Directors at Large, Virginia Ewanick and Sherry Johnson, are committed to providing professional growth opportunities, networking and educational growth to our members.
In the coming months, we will provide information about upcoming changes and future events. The next 2 years will be challenging as well as rewarding, as we strive to increase our membership and grow our chapter in the 2nd year of a pandemic.
Opportunities will be available, as usual, throughout the year to meet for certification/education (RCH’s) as well as networking with individuals within our field. I want to re-assure you that the intention of this board is to grow the Upstate Chapter. We plan to stay focused on remaining a benefit to our members. I have no doubt that with our network of highly-engaged members & speakers we will have a successful 2 years and beyond. I’m excited and look forward to a productive and successful tenure and invite each of you to participate and, most importantly, become involved.
